I decided to start a new blog post called "P-10 Recommends" that I will be posting as often I as I can. The point of this blog post will be to let you all know about new or old music, videos, books, art, cities, food, and literally anything that I come across and would either consider spinning live, buying, reading, visiting, eating, remixing/working with, or just enjoying on my own.

I hope you guys can discover some new things through these blog posts and if you ever have any suggestions for me, get at me here!

So I finally got back from the Knox College show in Galesburg, Illinois and had time to write about my trip. It started with a long drive with just me and my tour manager Jordan on a 9 hour drive...

Came across this the other day and was taken back to my youth (and geekiness) of playing Super Mario Bros all day.

Except this game is probably 100X better than the original Super Mario Bros, why? Because you can play through all of the game using characters from other NES classics like:

Samus (Metroid)

Link (Legend of Zelda)

Bill (Contra)

Simon (Castlevania)

Megaman (Megaman)

the best part is that you get to use their special powers too. Let me just say there is nothing quite like shooting a goomba with a machine gun, hahaha

My boy Bird Peterson just put out a REAL dope mixtape that takes Trance music (Paul Van Dyke, Art of Trance, etc) and mashes it up with that dirty south rap (Gucci Mane, Slim Thug, Mike Jones, etc.).

The result is pure amazingness. I know, I know... "Dirty South Rap" is not really the best rap out there, especially considering I produce more underground stuff but I have to admit, being from Texas myself it's a guilty pleasure of mine.
